Though a school does not have the obvious
exposures to risk found in manufacturing and construction sites,
school districts spend millions of dollars each year on Worker's
Compensation claims involving teachers and associates. The large
majority of these Worker's Comp experiences are slips and falls
and overexertion type injuries. This program emphasizes safety
as a personal responsibility. Ideal for all personnel who work
in schools, they will learn to recognize and respect common
causes of accidents and injuries in schools, and measures they
can take to ensure their safety. Filmed in elementary, middle
and high school facilities, the program teaches the importance
of proper posture, lifting techniques, housekeeping, and general
safety awareness to reduce exposure to injury. Your teachers
and associates will understand safety is not just for kids.
